The state of the epidemic in Poland is lifted

What are the implications? What does it mean for foreigners?

We kindly inform you that, from May 16, 2022, the state of the epidemic in Poland is lifted.

However, the state of epidemic threat will still apply.

We would like to remind you that, in connection with the covid act and the introduced state of epidemic threat in Poland, the validity of residence cards, visas and visa-free travel remains extended until the 30th day following the day of cancellation of this state.

Therefore, the stay in the territory of the Republic of Poland will still be legal. Submitting the application at a later date will not have negative consequences.

More information on extending the validity of stays is available here: https://www.gov.pl/
