Questions about the planner

It depends on the voivodeship. For temporary residence, the voivodeship averages run from 249 to 680 days, 427 on average across the 16 (Office for Foreigners, decisions issued January 1 – September 28, 2026). A work permit took 82 days in 2025, Poland-wide.

A temporary residence permit has no extension. You file for the next one, no later than the last day of your legal stay. If you file in time, without formal defects, your stay is legal until the decision is final.

It is an average of cases already decided, so many applicants wait longer, and offices currently have no binding deadline for residence permit decisions. Plan with a margin and check the plan again before a big decision.
